Hello, there.

Everything okay?

Last time I caught your glimpse,

Piles of paper were used to cover your face.

Maybe if I pinched my cheeks and smiled,

Everything will look okay.

Perhaps the workload or,

Last week’s insomnia

Explained the lifeless eyes.

And of course,

Smile and laugh.

Everything will look okay.

I can’t show you how

Real the demons are

Else you’ll run or ridicule

And I can’t afford either.

Lest the demons found fodder in those.

Leaving me in the light won’t help.

You see they’ve built a home in my mind.

Nothing will happen and

Everything will be alright, I try consoling but

Everything is not alright.

Days and nights have passed

In hell, never knowing when

They might win.
