The sun sets past seven in the evening these days. It looked hazel when I first noticed its shadow but it was purple by the time I reached the third photograph.

In the silence of the

Clock and yellow streets.

I step away from the slab

I’ve watched her

Walk past me

In a dance trance

With the music

Of sunrise.

I was six

And she thirty.
